Relationship Counselling in Pune

When the Two of You Are in the Same Room But Feel Miles Apart

You finish each other's sentences less. Silences feel different now heavier. You say "I'm fine" and mean something else entirely. You love them. You're just not sure how to reach them anymore.

This is one of the most quietly painful places a relationship can reach not loud enough to feel like a crisis, but relentless enough to wear you both down. If this sounds familiar, you are not broken and neither is your relationship. You have simply arrived at the point where outside support can make all the difference.

At Balance & Bliss, we work with couples in Pune who are navigating emotional distance, communication breakdown, recurring conflict, trust repair and major life transitions offering relationship counselling in Pune that is evidence-based, deeply personal and built around you as a unit

Our Method

How Aniket Works with Couples - My Approach to Couples
  • I plan one individual sessions with the couple and then a joint session
This is to understand the individual sides for the interpersonal emotional issues one is going through and then a joint session to understand the couple as how is their partnership and what are the areas to be addressed. There onwards, we plan individual sessions with each to address the individual aspect that is interfering the partnership and the joint sessions to make the partnership stronger and healthier.
  • I integrate different modalities that are helpful in the sessions with the couples.
I bring in trauma informed and attachment lens to understand the human and the interpersonal issues that one is experiencing. Curious to know the individual world to help each other understand the partner's emotional aspects. I try to integrate interventions from Cognitive therapy (REBT, CBT, Choice theory Reality therapy), Attachment therapy (Dynamic Attachment Re-Patterning Experience), Transactional Analysis, Gottman's approach. I also believe in addressing differences in personality, understanding the attachment states, and bringing in socio-psychological lens in understanding differences in culture, gender roles, etc.
  • Q3. How many therapy sessions will I need? The number of sessions varies from person to person. Some clients feel significant improvement in 6–10 sessions, particularly with Solution-Focused Brief Therapy. Others working through deeper attachment wounds or trauma may benefit from longer-term work. During your first session, Aniket will discuss realistic timelines based on your specific goals and circumstances.

What To Expect

What Happens in a Session — No Surprises

One of the most common reasons couples delay seeking help is uncertainty about the process. Here is a transparent, step-by-step picture of what your journey at Balance & Bliss looks like.

  • 1. Initial enquiry & intake call
Before your first session, Aniket schedules a brief call to understand your situation and answer your questions. There is no pressure. This call helps him gauge whether the fit is right and what kind of support will be most useful.
  • First joint session — the full picture
Your opening session is a space for both partners to speak and be heard without judgment, without taking sides. Aniket listens for relationship patterns, underlying needs and the specific dynamics that are creating distance or conflict.
  • Brief individual sessions
In some cases, Aniket may suggest one session with each partner separately not to pick sides, but to create space for each person to speak without self-censoring. This is entirely voluntary and discussed openly with both of you.
  • Ongoing couple’s sessions the real work
Weekly or fortnightly sessions form the core of the process. Using different, yet impactful, you practise new ways of communicating, expressing vulnerability and responding to each other in session, with guidance, before taking it home.
  • Review & close — you decide when you're ready
There is no prescribed number of sessions. Aniket regularly checks in on progress and the decision to close or continue is always a collaborative one. Many couples return for occasional check-ins even after their primary work is complete.
